 Text at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_Starling

The Common Starling, also known in the British Isles as Starling,
is a medium-sized passerine bird in the starling family Sturnidae.
It is about 20 cm (8 in) long and has glossy black plumage, which
is speckled with white at some times of year.  The legs are pink
and the bill is black in winter and yellow in summer.

Huge flocks of more than a million Common Starlings may be observed
just before sunset in spring.  Their swarm behavior creates
complex shapes silhouetted against the sky, a phenomenon known
locally as sort sol ("Black Sun").  Flocks of anything from five
to fifty thousand Common Starlings form in areas of the UK just
before sundown during mid winter.  These flocks are commonly
 called murmurations.

Click on the top source, or 'HERE' for my copy, to see these
Starlings' "murmurations."  They are quite amazing and beautiful.

For the Birds is a 2000 animated short film produced by
Pixar Animation Studios and directed by Ralph Eggleston.
A small bird lands on a telephone wire and makes itself
comfortable, only to have a second bird land next to it.
As the two birds start to fight, many others land on the
wire and join in. They are interrupted when a very large,
gangly, awkward-looking bird sitting on top of the pole
honks to them.  Click on the first source, or 'HERE' for

 Source: http://www.farmyou.com/falcon_cams/index.html

This link was sent by a Scrabble buddy from a suburb of
Chicago.  It is a live-feed video of a mama eagle sitting
her on 3 eggs.  The first time I peeked in on her, she was
cleaning her feathers, stretching, checking out the eggs,
and then she lay back down and went to sleep.   My friend's
son's Kindergarten teacher sent this link to the parents of
her students.   The entire school is keeping abreast of the
event.  Remember, this is live-feed video.  From Gina

First egg was laid on 02/17/2012.  The estimated first hatch
 date is 03/25/12.

The babies have been raised.  The video quickly switches
 to a commercial.

Thousands tuned in as two baby bald eagles hatched live on
webcam in Decoarh, Iowa, over the weekend.  But if you missed
it, you can still see a third eaglet hatch, probably within
 the next few days.

The first eaglet emerged shortly after 6 a.m. local time on
Apr. 2, and the second hatched just after 5 a.m. on Apr. 3.
The streaming video attracted more than 100,000 viewers over
the weekend, so many that the site crashed for about two hours
 on Saturday morning.

The babies have been raised.  The video quickly switches
 to a commercial.

In order to fuel its heart and wings that can flap up to 100
times-per-second, a hummingbird must eat several times an hour.
This groundbreaking sequence from FLIGHT: THE GENIUS OF BIRDS
illustrates the system of mechanisms that enable a hummer to
consume several times it body weight in nectar each day.  Paul
Nelson's commentary is also very eloquent and appropriate.

system that draws nectar through the hummingbird's tongue.
