Subj:     The Ultimate Minority In A Nightmare (S862)
          From: AFine963 on 7/13/2013

In the nightmare I found myself nude in bed, and I was
looking at a mirror on the ceiling, and I discovered that
I am a Negro, and I'm circumcised!  Quickly I sat up,
found my pants and looked in the pockets to find my
driver's license photo and it was that same color, black.
I felt myself being very depressed, downcast, sitting in
a chair.  But it's a wheelchair!  That means, of course,
besides being black and Jewish, I'm also disabled!

I said to myself, aloud 'This is impossible!  It's
impossible that I should be black and Jewish and disabled!
It's the pure and holy truth', whispers someone from
behind me.  I turn around, and it's my boyfriend.  Just
what I needed!  I am a homosexual, and on top of that,
with a Mexican boyfriend.  Oh, my God... Black, Jewish,
disabled, gay with a Mexican boyfriend, drug addict, and
HIV-positive!  Desperate, I begin to shout, cry, I try to
pull my hair, and Oh, nooooo... I'm bald!!!

The telephone rings.  It's my brother.  He is saying,
'Since mom and dad died, the only thing you do is hang
out, take drugs, and laze around all day doing nothing.
Get a job, you worthless piece of crap...  Any job!'
Mom? Dad? Nooooo...  Now I'm also an unemployed orphan!

I try to explain to my brother how hard it is to find a
job when you are black, Jewish, disabled, gay with a
Mexican boyfriend, are a drug addict, HIV positive, bald,
and an orphan, but he doesn't get it.

Frustrated, I hang up.  It's then I realize I have only
one hand! With tears in my eyes, I go to the window to
look out.  I see I live in a shanty-town full of cardboard
and tin houses! There is trash everywhere.

Suddenly I feel a sharp pain near my pacemaker... Pacemaker?
Besides being black, Jewish, disabled, a fairy with a
Mexican boyfriend, a drug addict, HIV positive, bald,
orphaned, unemployed, an invalid with one hand, and having
a bad heart, I live in a crappy neighborhood.

At that very moment my boyfriend approaches and says to me,
Sweetie pie, love, my little black heart-throb, have you
decided what you are going to wear to Washington to meet
 Obama?

Say it isn't so!  Now I can handle being a black, disabled,
one armed, drug-addicted, Jewish homosexual on a pacemaker
who is HIV positive, bald, orphaned, unemployed, lives in
a slum, and has a Mexican boyfriend, but.............  dear
God, please don't tell me I'm a Democrat!

Homer Jay Simpson is the fictional main character that
appears in the animated television series The Simpsons.
The series first appeared on television on The Tracey
Ullman Show short "Good Night" on April 19, 1987. Homer
is one of the most influential fictional characters on
television, having been described by the British news-
paper The Sunday Times as "the greatest comic creation
of [modern] time".  He was named the greatest fictional
character "of the last 20 years" in 2010 by Entertainment
Weekly.  His voice is done by Dan Castellaneta.

In these two video clips, Homer attempts to vote in
2008 and then in 2012.  There is a lot of subtle humor

Subj:     How To Catch Wild Pigs (S572)
          From: tom on 1/3/2008

THIS IS TRULY THOUGHT PROVOKING.  TAKE THE TIME TO READ IT
AND SEND IT ON TO THOSE THAT YOU THINK ARE WORTH SENDING TO.

There was a chemistry professor in a large college that had
some exchange students in the class.  One day while the
class was in the lab, the Prof noticed one young man, an
exchange student, who kept rubbing his back and stretching
 as if his back hurt.

The professor asked the young man what was the matter.

The student told him he had a bullet lodged in his back.
He had been shot while fighting communists in his native
country who were trying to overthrow his country's
government and install a new communist regime.  In the
midst of his story, he looked at the professor and asked
 a strange question.

He asked: "Do you know how to catch wild pigs?"

The professor thought it was a joke and asked for the punch
line.  The young man said that it was no joke.

"You catch wild pigs by finding a suitable place in the
woods and putting corn on the ground.  The pigs find it
and begin to come everyday to eat the free corn.  When they
are used to coming every day, you put a fence down one side
of the place where they are used to coming.  When they get
used to the fence, they begin to eat the corn again and you
put up another side of the fence.  They get used to that
and start to eat again.  You continue until you have all
four sides of the fence up with a gate in the last side.
The pigs, which are used to the free corn, start to come
through the gate to eat that free corn again.  You then
slam the gate on them and catch the whole herd.  Suddenly
the wild pigs have lost their freedom.  They run around
and around inside the fence, but they are caught.  Soon
they go back to eating the free corn.  They are so used to
it that they have forgotten how to forage in the woods for
themselves, so they accept their captivity."

The young man then told the professor that is exactly what
he sees happening in America.  The government keeps pushing
us toward Communism/Socialism and keeps spreading the free
corn out in the form of programs such as supplemental
income, tax credit for unearned income, tax cuts, tax
exemptions, tobacco subsidies, dairy subsidies, payments
not to plant crops (CRP), welfare, medicine, drugs, etc.
while we continually lose our freedoms, just a little at a
 time.

One should always remember two truths:

      1) There is no such thing as a free lunch

      2) and you can never hire someone to provide a service
for you cheaper than you can do it yourself.

If you see that all of this wonderful government 'help' is
a problem confronting the future of democracy in America,
you might want to send this on to your friends.

If you think the free ride is essential to your way of life,
then you will probably delete this email.  But God help you
 when the gate slams shut!

Subj:     Little Girl Wants To Be The President (S807)
          From: rfslick on 6/26/2012

Recently, while I was working in the front yard, my neighbor
and her daughter stopped to chat as they returned home from
walking their dog.  During our friendly conversation, I asked
her little girl what she wanted to be when she grows up.
She said she wanted to be President some day.

Her mother, a liberal Democrat, stood there while I asked her,
"If you were President what would be the first thing you would
 do?"

She replied... "I'd give food and houses to all the homeless
people." Her mother beamed with pride!

"Wow... what a worthy goal!" I said, "but you don't have to
wait until you're President to do that!"

"What do you mean?" she asked.

I told her, "You can come to my house and mow the lawn, pull
weeds, and trim my bushes, and I'll pay you $50.  Then you can
go over to the grocery store where the homeless guy hangs out,
and you can give him the $50 to use toward food and a new house."

She thought that over for a few seconds, then she looked me
straight in the eye and asked, "Why doesn't the homeless guy
come over and do the work, and you can just pay him the $50?"

I said, "Welcome to the Republican Party."

Her mother isn't speaking to me.

 Source: http://www.theadvocates.org/quizp/index.html

So, you think you know where you stand, politically.  Think
again.  The results from this short test may surprise you
and give you some food for thought.

You'll be asked just 10 questions, and then it instantly
tells you where you stand politically.  It shows your
position as a red dot on a "political map" so you'll see
 exactly where you score.

The most interesting thing about the Quiz is that it goes
beyond the Democrat, Republican, and Independent.

The Quiz has gotten a lot of praise.  The Washington Post
said it has "gained respect as a valid measure of a person's
 political leanings."

The Fraser Institute said it's "a fast, fun, and accurate
assessment of a person's overall political views."  Suite
University said it is the "most concise and accurate
 political quiz out there."

Subj:     ABC News Bans Flag Lapel Pins (S613)
          From: aldavito on 10/6/2008
 Source: http://www.snopes.com/rumors/noflags.asp

After the 9/11 terrorist attack, ABC News has asked its
staff not to wear American flag pins in their lapels, or
even red, white and blue ribbons, in an effort to protect
 their credibility as objective sources.

"We cannot signal through outward symbols how we feel,
even if the cause is justified," said ABC spokesman Jeffrey
Schneider.  "Overseas, it could be perceived that we're
just mouthpieces for the U.S. government, and that can
 place our journalists in danger."

Since when is support for preventing our death ? destruction
some sort of a "cause"?  Since when is patriotism to be
discouraged.  We're slowly losing everything our country
stands for, and everything our men and women fought and died
to preserve.   I urge you to boycott ABC and its sponsors
 and affiliates.

On Jan. 14,2011 on PBS NewsHour, Mark Shields, an American
political columnist and commentator, said the following:
"There was one observation that was made this week I just have
to pass on to you by a friend of mine, Allen Ginsberg, who is
an historian up in Maine.  And he said, this week, we saw a
white, Catholic, Republican federal judge murdered on his way
to greet a Democratic woman, member of Congress, who was his
friend and was Jewish.  Her life was saved initially by a 20-
year-old Mexican-American college student, who saved her, and
eventually by a Korean-American combat surgeon...  And then it
was all eulogized and explained by our African-American president.
And, in a tragic event, that's a remarkable statement about the
country."  To see the original twelve minute video with this

Subj:     Early Public Opinion Polls (S659b)
          From: ICohen on 8/27/2009
Early politicians required feedback from the public to
determine what the people considered important.  Since
there were no telephones, TV's or radios, the politicians
sent their assistants to local taverns, pubs, and bars.
They were told to 'go sip some ale' and listen to people's
conversations and political concerns.  Many assistants
were dispatched at different times.  'You go sip here'
and 'You go sip there.'  The two words 'go sip' were
eventually combined when referring to the local opinion
and, thus we have the term 'gossip.'

guaranteed employment, free comprehensive healthcare, free
education, free food, free housing, free clothing, free
utilities, and only Law Enforcement has guns.
And believe it or not, such a place does indeed exist..
 It's called prison.
